Clifton Heights, PA
In April 2016, we acquired a former local newspaper building – complete with printing press and distribution hub – to convert to self-storage at 500 Mildred Ave in Clifton Heights, a suburb of Philadelphia. The property is well located near two highly trafficked roads, in a densely populated first-ring suburb with, at the time, only one other competitor within the 1-mile radius.
We converted the existing 94,600 gross square foot building into approximately 62,000 net rentable square feet of climate-controlled self-storage. Additionally, we added two buildings in the rear parking lot with approximately 21,000 net rentable square feet of direct-access storage. We opened in May 2017 branded and managed by CubeSmart, headquartered near this location.
In June 2019, we sold the property to CubeSmart.
